When my parking lot became like an ice skating rink on Monday, I realized I could not bring both dogs out at the same time. First I brought my little dog out, and while I was out my big dog barked, because she is a big baby about these things. Yesterday, a neighbor who was also off, offered to walk one of them for me. I could bring both out at the same time. That is when I saw the funniest thing. One of the neighborhood guys was on a wooden sled, and was being pulled by his little terrier. My little dog went beserk. After he passed us, he crashed into the unemptied garbage cans that were lined up along the parking lot entranceway.
Last nite when I was on the phone with a friend we were both flipping channels on the t.v.. My friend flipped to the channel with the "Golden Globe Awards", and said to me, "boy, Steven Spielberg looks awful". I went to go look, and burst out laughing, there was this big guy on the t.v., the director of the "Lord Of The Rings".

While drivng back to work(after walking the dogs) during my lunch hour today, I heard the news that Captain Kangaroo died. The Captain lived in my hometown of Babylon for many years. Just knowing the Captain lived around the corner must have made my childhood a little more magical.

It was just a bad day today. I couldn't wait to leave work. After work I stopped at the grocery store and I was then going to pay for my groceries with a debit card, and then get cash back, so I could pay for a egg drop soup and a tea at the chinese restaurant with cash. After I scanned my card, and put in my password to pay for my groceries, the message came up with would you like cash back. I chose yes. I then entered the amount, I wanted $10. You can't get $10 too many places anymore, usually the lowest amount is $20. I made a mistake typing in the amount . Before I had a chance to cancel or correct, the authorization, which never seems to go this fast, showed up. The cashier, said I could do it again, but I told her that the authorization had gone through. As I was saying that to the cashier , I heard the sound of the register opening. I was then the recipient of 10 cents instead of ten dollars.

I need a tummy tuck!

Last week I got a page a day video calendar at 75% percent off. It is a "Videohounds Night At The Movies" calendar. The "Videohound's Golden Movie Retriever" is one of my favorite reference resources at home, and the book I have is from 1997. I think it's time to go out and get a new one. I especially like their categories, including: books to film, adapted from a poem, satire and parody, stupid is..., ABBA-ca-da-bra and, coming of age.

Earlier this week I went to see "Love Actually: at the $1.50 movie.

Last night while most people were watching sports, I was enjoying watching two John Wayne movies on the Turner Classics station. Later this week, the original Neil Simon movie ,"The Goodbye Girl" will be on, and then the remake will be premiering. I hope the remake is not too disappointing. They are also showing 5 other Neil Simon movies. They didn't include ,"The Odd Couple", which is one of my favorites, I've seen this movie many times, and it always brings a chuckle. I was going to take a class for the next few months, and with less time and the extra expense of the class I was going to reduce my cable to the very basic channels for a few months. I wanted to take a world religion class or something like that, but the day I was going was canceled. Then I tried to register for a history class, and they were all full. Registration has now ended and I still have not found a class to take. There is something called in-class registration, now if I can only find a class. There is a class in basic electricity that might fit my schedule. This does not sound like a sit back and enjoy class like a history class, but right now I don't have much too many choices .
