It's New Years Eve and I decided to stay home. I worked until 3, then went to the lawyer to sign some papers for my mortgage. I am hoping that I can refinance and get a 5 percent interest rate. When I got home today I was feeling kind of puny. I just took the dogs for a walk outside. It's probably one on the longest walks the three of us have had since Oct., that was before my surgery. I also got the added benefit of many in my neighborhood shooting off fireworks. Yesterday I was walking my dogs during my lunch hour and and someone who cares for the lady a few doors down looked at my little dog and said, "boy is she fat". My Little has been that way for awhile, but the lack of excercise the last 2 months has certaintly been a detriment that even I have noticed. It's a nice night for a walk, and the walk started me thinking of some of my favorite things. I should write some them down from time-to-time, here are some...
Walking my dogs on a nice evening---a nice evening is something like beach weather, not too hot , not too cold, and always a slight breeze.

I saw this today. A huge buzzard eating what looked like a dead raccoon. This was not too far from where I saw the squashed beaver a few months ago. When I called animal control about the beaver, they said they probably wouldn't have believed me, except they had another call about it.

Red's B-B-Q time. It's Saturday, and that means the B-B-Q truck will be at the gas station. Some people will only eat certain locales B-B-Q. I will eat them all, but the mustard-based is my favorite.

The Vacuum
I got a new vaccum while I was home in November after my surgery. It's a small canister Dirt Devil breeze. For some reason my little dog is much more frightened of this vacuum than my previous ones. Vacuum time is usually a good source of amusement for me, until I got this new one.The dogs (Big and Little) will get in opposite ends of the room and run back and forth over and around the vacuum . If I get too close, Big will jump on the futon for safety, but now if I get too close to Little she will squat on the floor,and do what I call weepy.

Now the website is not responding. It's now tomorrow. I'm thinking about tackling a little bit of house cleaning. I have been working on clutter control for about 2 years now, and should be able to let visitors into my house by the spring.

Today didn't start off well, and it seems to be ending in a similiar way. It was in the 20's this morning . I really don't like cold weather. About 7 this morning I sat down on my cold toilet, after the first flush, nothing happens, so I flush again, BIG MISTAKE... I see the water rising and not stopping . I look for the plunger that I always keep in the downstairs bathroom, but it's not there . Next I try to turn off the water, but I'm too late .The water was up and over and seeping into the garbage bag from the kitchen that was stowed in the bathroom so the animals wouldn't get into it . I pounded my way up the stairs and found the plunger there, grabbed a towel and threw it on the floor to absorb the mess. Not even 8 o'clock and I'm sanitizing my bathroom. Next thing to do is scrape the ice from my car.....................................................go to work......................................................................
It's after 11 and I sit down at my computer . I have this bottle of hand lotion next to it. I have this thing about hand lotion, I use it alot, and I use it often. I went to pump a little on my hand, but instead it squirts on my keyboard and oozes in- between the keys, it just makes me wonder what tomorrow will bring. Maybe I will talk about my new page a day calendar.

Christmas Eve morning and I should be getting ready to go out shopping. It's raining and I'm not looking foward to driving in my car that has the window that won't roll up all the way.
The scariest thing I saw on TV last night- Two men that jointly owned a dog, gidddily talking about their beloved to the Pet Psychic. More about the Pet Psychic in the future.

Things I need to do...In early November I had surgery and I received flowers. Front door in a basket flowers. I was so impressed. Flowers now dried scary versions of what they once were. Must get past my inability to throw things out, maybe tomorrow.

Get another car/get car fixed. Car currently with one headlight, broken driver's door that can be opened only on passenger side and driver's side window, that is rolled partially down and stuck in that position. Not much fun if I want to go to the drive-thru. (I'm really bad at backing in). Also, burning oil smell, that becomes overwhelming when the heat is on.

Clean refrigerator.
